Biography

was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic. His artistic talent became evident from a very early age when working in the family ceramic business at age nine. The artist’s artistic education was initiated in high school. Solange then pursued and received an Associate degree in Graphic Design and Fine Art Advertising from APEC University in the Dominican Republic. Between 1986 and 1993, Solange’s oil paintings have been widely exhibited through art galleries in the Dominican Republic, including collective and individual exhibitions. The artist’s first individual exhibition in the United States, Ozone 2000, was held at New York City Hall in 1995. It was presented by Mayor Rudolph Guiliani and received great reviews. Since 1996 Solange’s oil paintings have been exhibited in New York and Boston galleries. Solange’s artistic work shows that this artist is a passionate representative of the generation, who constantly s thrives to preserve the beauty of our natural environment. The artist’s trademark has been Solange’s unique style of incorporating sculpting techniques into oil painting. He plans to continue experimenting with these techniques and using the canvas as a way to transform ordinary themes into living expressions of art. He has done over 30 individual and collective exhibits. Also, part of the Art league of Lowell.
